What do you see in the mirror of your soul? / Prophylactic self-isolation series. Day 329th.

Meaning of reflection

A few months ago I wrote a post about reflections, with photos and descriptions of what could be seen in there: Reflections / Prophylactic self-isolation series. Day 269th.

Physically, mirrors reflect light and thus reflect the world around us.

Spiritually, light has symbolic attachment to illumination, awareness and wisdom. Therefore, in terms of spiritual symbolism, mirrors reflect truth. They reflect what is (1).

It is not a secret, we all see the world differently. As a fact, we all perceive ourselves differently too.

Recently I came across the idea to highlight three main images of a soul. Lets imagine, the soul is looking into the mirror. What does it see there?…

Reflections of soul looking into a mirror

1. Victim of life

There are people for whom just anything in their life creates the suffer.

Never ending complains, jealousy and gossiping could describe the daily routine of such individuals. It seems for them, all the world is created for others, other people are joyful, happy and rich, but not they. It is like a feeling that there is never enough, whatever the destiny gives – they complain for more.

Like here in the picture (below) from Dracula movie (2): the lady in a nice dress, beautiful and healthy, living in a stunning palace is the unhappiest creature on the world. Why? Just because the mirror of her soul is distorted and she sees the things which do not exist. Well, they exist, but only in her imagination.

This idea that vampires do not reflect in mirrors has its underground meaning – there is nothing in real behind. The Victim chooses to be the victim and it creates a connection between the real and unseen. In fact, Dracula (vampire) cannot connect to anyone if there are no connection points. But once someone lets it happen – the victim of life appears in real, appears for self-sufferings.

2. Looking real

Normal perception of yourself is a gift from above, or being realistic, it is one’s good will and a smart choice.

This type of people look and feel as they are (as in the photo with crows below). There could be unlucky day(s), – it will reflect in their mood and behavior, or oppositely.

But the things are constantly as they are, without exaggerating the colors or enlarging the unlucky moments to the sky limits.

In contrast to the “Victims of life”, “Looking real” people open their mouth for a smile, not for a complain or gossiping.

In contrast to “Victims of life”, people with “Healthy perception” of life open their mouth for a smile, not for a complain

3. Looking big

This kind of perception of oneself may appear for those who are small in real, but big in their heart. It is a kind of healthy perception of one’s-self, leading for a personal growth and giving the power to be and improve self-confidence.

Like on a photo below: in its reflection, the small kitty imagines itself as big as a lion. For the kitty it is a kind of self-assertion, spirit of courage and good will to grow bigger. In fact, it represents beautiful soul, ready for growth.

Being a victim. Is it forever?

Despite the fact that most of the “Victims of life” enjoy their state and are used to it, some may awake and take an action for personal growth. As a result, it may bring happiness where it seemed not possible for it to be, it may bring wealth just by accepting oneself being rich from inside, it may color the life with beautiful colors. Just give it a try.
