According to music theory, A=432 Hz is mathematically consistent with the universe. This is known as Verdi’s ‘A’ – named after Giuseppe Verdi, a famous Italian composer.

Meditation music tuned to  432 Hz is relaxing for the body and mind and also more harmonic and pleasant than 440 Hz which is the frequency that most of the modern day music we listen to is tuned at. Some theorists believe that 440 Hz was designed to stimulate fear, sickness, oppression. This imposed frequency was  introduced as the standard frequency in 1940.

432 Hz music  would fill the mind with a sense of peace and well being.  Music that has been tuned to the scientific 432 Hz releases emotional blockages and is said to be most beneficial to humans (1).

The 432 Hz, instead, multiple of 8 Hz, produces brain equilibrium (alfa/beta), vital for our
somato-psychic wealth (2).

432 Hz tuned music was associated with a slight decrease of blood pressure, a marked decrease in the heart rate and a slight decrease of the respiratory rate, compared to 440 Hz (3).

A number of studies about 432 hz music usage in dentistry are done. This includes studies (4), such as:

  • perception of anxiety during endodontic (root canal) treatment
  • assessing anxiety in pediatric dental patients
  • music in relieving orthodontic pain
  • management of anxious dental pediatric patients
  • dental anxiety in patients waiting for dental surgery
  • music sedation to relieve psychological stress
Classical music is most likely to be 432 hz music
