Time to l’earn how to make body/face/hand cream at home. I developed it for myself more than year ago, leaning on my knowledge and practice of other people. All in one, it came as a super cream with a simple formula. However, technological steps are important to follow:)
So, lets prepare the cream, step by step (2 days required)
Ingredients:
- coconut butter, 100 g
- Shea butter, 100 g
- essential oil of preference, few drops (optional)
- cosmetic mica powder (optional)
How to make it:

- Weigh the ingredients

- First, melt Shea butter over a water bath completely
- After Shea butter melts completely, add coconut oil, mix gently if necessary

- Transfer melted content to a clean glass jar. Use towel to prevent any water drop to flow into a glass jar where oily content will cool down
- Cool down the oils completely on a counter for next 2-4 hours
- Than close a lid and put a jar into a refrigerator for next 4-6 hours to solidify

- Take a jar out of a refrigerator and put on a counter for 2 hours to soften
- Then use wooden spatula to break down some pieces
- Mix it well by using mixture for 2-3 minutes on a medium-low speed

- Check the consistency, it should be tacky and smooth, without any crumbs. The cream is ready!
- For “MICA face cream”, a cream with light undertone (for occasional events only), put aside a small portion of prepared cream
- Add some mica to a small portion of prepared cream and mix again using mixer

- Keep major amount of ready creams (with and without mica) in glass jars in a refrigerator
- Keep small amount of cream (without mica) in a bathroom for every day use
- Because “Mica face cream” is for occasions, it could always stay in a refrigerator until required
Important notes:
- Always apply a cream on a clean skin
- Apply only small amount of the cream, no need to make a skin looking or feeling greasy
- Works better to apply on a lightly wet skin surface, for example, after a shower
- Face skin surface need really just few drops of a cream
- In the evening, always wash away the impurities with warm water, even if you think or feel like a face is ok:)
